Driven by faith and desperation, they journey across unknown lands in pursuit of a higher power who they believe can grant their deepest wishes.
HOPE is a personal project that follows a group of devoted individuals on a desperate journey to seek out the divine being they believe holds the answers to their suffering. Fueled by faith and hope, they travel across a broken world in search of mercy, blessings, and a higher purpose, convinced that their god will bring salvation.
But what they find is not a god.

For the storyboard in HOPE, the visual approach focuses on cinematic framing, utilizing composition that leans heavily into cosmic horror and dark fantasy. The scenes are designed to evoke a sense of scale, dread, and mystery, often using lighting, shadow, and perspective to emphasize the unknown.
The main visual references include Warhammer, Diablo, Path of Exile, and Dungeons & Dragons. drawing inspiration from their epic, grim atmospheres and powerful storytelling through visuals. This direction helps set the tone for a world where beauty and horror intertwine in a haunting yet awe-inspiring journey.

COLOR SCRIPT
In the color script for HOPE, the use of red becomes a key visual element during the appearance of the so-called "god." The intense red tones are carefully applied to heighten the mood and amplify the emotional intensity of the scene.
This dramatic shift in color not only signals a pivotal moment in the story but also reinforces the sense of danger and overwhelming presence of the cosmic entity, contrasting heavily with the palette used in earlier, more subdued scenes.

CREATURE
For the god concept in HOPE, the design centers around the theme of omniscience, a being that sees all. The god is portrayed as an entity of knowledge and insight, a divine force that understands both the universe and the deepest corners of the human heart.
Eyes are a dominant visual motif, symbolizing its all-seeing nature and its role as a deity of truth, intellect, and inner emotion
This concept blends celestial divinity with cosmic horror, where the abundance of eyes becomes both a symbol of enlightenment and an unsettling presence. It’s a being revered by followers seeking wisdom, yet what they truly worship may be beyond human comprehension or sanity.

The concept art was created using a combination of photobashing and digital painting to achieve a richly detailed and textured finish. Before diving into the final composition, I began the process with thumbnail sketches to explore different ideas, compositions, and visual storytelling elements.
These thumbnails helped solidify the direction and tone of the god's design, especially in terms of silhouette and mood.

Seed Of God
The initial form is known as the Seed of God, a mysterious relic-like object that lies dormant until activated by an ancient incantation. Though inert in appearance, it holds a vast, unknowable energy, and once awakened, begins a slow and unsettling transformation.

Eye Of Revelation

Upon activation, the seed evolves into the Eye of Revelation, the core essence of the god. A massive, ever-watching eye emerges, symbolizing omniscience and judgment. This eye pierces through the hearts of those who summon it, revealing their deepest truths, sins, and desires.
In its final form, the entity becomes The God Beyond Veils, a terrifying divine presence brought into the physical realm through a ritual requiring four human sacrifices.
The god manifests as a towering, grotesque fusion of celestial horror and divine majesty, cloaked in layers of veils and flesh, with eyes scattered across its form, a being not meant to be seen by mortals.
